Video Journalism for Mendip TV

Click on the image on the left and Click on 'Mendip TV' to see the latest videos. Each video gives the viewer a flavour of different activities that are happening in the Mendip Area and provides them with details of how to get involved.

A new website is being developed for Mendip TV and will eventually run a schedule of different programs throughout the day.

Promotional DVD for the Sweet Black Angels

A fantastic 5 piece rock band from Honiton in Devon. The nicest bunch of guys you could wish to meet and all of them passionate about their music.

I met them at one of their gigs and felt that I needed to do something to help with their promotion. So after 8 months, a number of gigs and hours of video footage we put together a promotional DVD of the band.

'Cinderella and the Forty Thieves in the Wood' Pantomime DVD

A highly entertaining pantomime by the newly formed Halse Village Amateur Dramatics Society in Somerset.

Proceeds from the sale of the DVD are being used to finance future productions by the group.

Promotional DVD for Jam Samba

I filmed Jam Samba playing live in and around Plymouth city centre and created a promotional DVD allowing them to advertise for more gigs.

Promotional Video for Advanced Panel System

This company produces timber frame houses using materials from sustainable sources. I produced a promotional video showing their new high-tech production line and the construction of one of the houses. The video was used by the salespeople during meetings with clients to show the accuracy and speed with which the houses are constructed.

Note: I am unable to show a sample of the video due to the signing of a 'Confidentiality Agreement' protecting the new technology from being copied by competitors.

Taunton Ladies Rugby Club

I filmed a friendly match between the Taunton Ladies Rugby Club and the Royal Navy Ladies Rugby Club. The clubs subsequently used the video to assess team performance and to make improvements to the teams playing.

Rally Experience

This was an impromptu project following a day at the 'Forest Experience' rally day in Wales.

I filmed the whole day, interviewed the guests and made a DVD for them to remember the day.

Yolanda's 50th Birthday Celebration

To celebrate Yolanda's 50 Birthday I put together a number elements.

• Personal message from her Polish Mother and Brother (including subtitles).
• Slideshow of photographs ranging from childhood to current day along with her favourite song.
• These were then displayed at the party on a large projector screen. I filmed the party (inlcuding footage of Yolanda watch the Personal Message and Slideshow) and added this to the DVD after the party.

40th Birthday Tribute

This DVD was created as a surprise 40th Birthday present by the lady's friends.

I was provided with a collection photos ranging from baby photos to current day and given her favourite song. I created an animated slideshow accompanied with music.

These slideshows are a perfect gift for Wedding Anniversaries, Birthdays or any other special occasion.

Joint Marine Partnership

This project involved converting the partnership's stock of 35mm colour slides into a Powerpoint presentation. Additional supporting material was added to the CD to allow members of the partnership to present the slideshow.

The CD was supplied in a DVD case with fully printed covers and inlay cards.

Wildlife Trust - Basking Sharks

This project involved combining a number of presentations and supporting documentation onto a CD, which was then sent out to key members of the Wildlife Trust.
